LEAD ENVIRONMENT & PROP ARTIST

I’m passionate about games and filmmaking! One of my first and all time favorite game is 007 Golden Eye, “a real game changer”,  with an awesome story and a ton of fun to play.

In my early years I was a traditional artist and musician, in high school I wanted to be an architect, but that all changed after I saw Star Wars. Unlike most of my friends that just enjoyed watching movies, I wanted to make them and so in 1985 I moved from England to Los Angeles and enjoyed 16 years working as a cinematographer and filmmaker – fast forward to 2003 CGI was the new frontier, which I found very appealing and so I changed careers to focus more on the 3D side of movies and games using my cinematic skills in camera movement, lighting, color, composition and an eye for detail.
After working on a few VFX and animated movies I was recruited by VC Entertainment (Take Two Interactive), where I worked on 3 AAA 2K sports games. That lead me back to feature films such as Terminator Salvation, Guardians Of The Galaxy, 2012, Sorcerer’s Apprentice and a few others greats. The recent advances in AI has inspired my creative conceptual work in new environmental and architectural ideas.

With over 20 yrs of history, I’m an experienced and a passionate Environment Artist who loves relationship building, integrity, solutions-focused, and innovative.
I’ve learned some very valuable lessons along the way working in teams, with directors, leads, programmers, and very talented artists which has given me a broad array of skills.

SKILLS
  • Good drawing skills. Excellent eye for color, shape, proportions, composition and detail.
  • Strong skills in Maya, high and low poly modeling of hard surface and organic objects.
  • Can create finals from written and visual concept art.
  • Basic gameplay and level design knowledge. Also a good understanding of game psychology.
  • Ability to work under pressure, able to balance time, deadlines while keeping the style and quality of a project.
